By Michelle Conner
The Iron King
This is the first book in the popular Iron Series by Julie Kagawa. Meghan Chase is just a normal teenager, who has never felt at home in her house or school. Meghan thought her birthday couldn’t get any worse than previous birthdays. She was so, so wrong. Her brother Ethan has been kidnapped by strange things in the dark. Meghan, with the help of her friend Robbie Goodfell, must get Ethan back to rid themselves of the changeling left in her brother’s place. Now, Meghan must travel to Faery to save Ethan, and find Meghan’s destiny. Some of the characters names sound like they’re from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. There is some romance in this story, with action, and adventure. You will love this opening book.

The Iron Daughter

This is the second book in the popular Iron Series by Julie Kagawa. Meghan Chase and Ash are in the Winter Court. Meghan is a “guest”, but not an out right prisoner, meaning, Meghan can come and go, but doesn’t have her magic and can’t leave the Winter Court or territory. Machina is dead, but haunts her dreams. Inconsequently, the seasons are changing in the real world, so the powers in Faery are changing. The Iron Realm is growing. More faeries are turning to the Iron Court. Soon there will be a war between iron and the seasons. Meghan and Ash are exiled.

The Iron Queen

This is the third book in the popular Iron Series by Julie Kagawa. There is a new Iron King. There is a war. Only Meghan and her friend can stop the war. First, they have to travel back into Faery. Second, they need to find an old friend. Third, they have to end the war, enter the Iron Realm, find the new Iron King, and kill him. No pressure, right? Wrong. Machina still haunts Meghan’s dreams. Meghan and Ash’s love is growing stronger, but will it be strong enough to last in the Iron Realm and to defeat the new Iron King? Find out in The Iron Queen.

The Iron Knight will be released November 2011.
